Non-ski events schedule for 2009



Thursday. April 16 , Semi-Annual Dinner
                Mini-golf tournament, hike and bike event Harding Park Golf Clubhouse.  
                                3:00 pm - Golf tournament begins on Flemming 9 hole course . All skill levels welcome  
                                4:00 pm - Ft Funston Bluffs and Beach  Hike begins at clubhouse   
                                4:00 pm - Bicycle Ride on Great Highway path and in GG Park   6 pm No-host cocktails   
                                6:30 pm - Excellent BBQ Buffet, Including Ribs or Salmon entrée, sides, Salad and dessert
                Costs:
                                Dinner:$40 per member, $50 for non-member guest
                                Golf Tournament: $35 (also send your golf identity (beginner, hacker, striver, or  serious about the
                                                game so give handicap, if you have one) )
                Cash Bar- Corkage $15 per bottle (Magnums same price as regular)

, Dipsea Dazzle
We climb the Dipsea Steps to begin our hike from Mill Valley  via Sun Trail to Mt. Home and Tenderfoot return via Cascade waterfall Leave 10 am from Old Mill Park

Thursday  May 28, Third Annual Hike, Bike, Feast and Party  (the great Sebastopol shindig)
Bob and Peggy Rogers do it again. They’re hosting another great picnic barbeque, hike, bike trek, and sunny happening at their place in Sebastopol.
Absolutely save the day. Starting at 10 am, there’s a long and short hike on the bluffs and multi-level bike excursions through the West County Wine Country. Upon return starting at 2 pm, there’s a huge table groaning with donated delicacies for sharing.  Details will be sent via e-mail early in May.

June Hike TBA
Someplace on Mt. Tam we’ll walk in sun and shade and find a dappled glade where we’ll pause to eat carry-along lunches and lemonade and such. Date and route TBA

July 12 - Sunday Seeing Statues, tasting tiny treats
Stroll through Sculpture at Stanford—Henry and Winnie lead a leisurely tour of the solid artworks on the classic campus.

August-TBA -  Nell Fraser is organizing a Picnic, barbecue, hike and get-together in and near Rosssmoor in the East Bay
An insider's tour of the community is one of the activity options . Call Nell for info or if you can help organize this event.

Sunday, September  20 - URBAN Hike Sample the Steps of San Francisco hike around Twin Peaks and Noe Valley
We walk up and down steep stairways with excellent views and charming houses.
Start walk around 10 am from Douglas Street and Elizabeth streets We walk about two hours and split up in small groups for Ethnic eating adventures at Peruvian, Japanese, Korean, French and other choices on 24th Street.
Michael  Creedman and Richard Hippard will lead

October  7 and 11 - Fitness Training Opportunity Including  Presidio Trail walks.
A pair of get-in-shape to ski workouts with professional trainer Sandra Miller in San Francisco Presidio.
Participants receive printed instructions of moves and stretches and we attempt to have our trained workout members volunteer to lead weekly  exercise  gatherings
